Ann Jolly was a member of the first graduating class of Dunedin High School in Dunedin, Florida where she also served as Pipe Major for the newly formed Highland Bagpipe Corps. She holds an AA in Music Education from the University of Florida where she studied saxophone with Jerry Neil Smith, and a BA in Elementary Education from the University of West Florida. She studied piano with Professor William Schlumpf in Dunedin and organ with Dr. Peter Zawadsky in Landstuhl, Germany.
In Germany Ann was pianist/organist and Children’s Choir director at the Landstuhl 2nd General Hospital Chapel for three years. She also taught General Music to the upper grades at Landstuhl American Elementary School, accompanied the Children’s Chorus under the direction of Werner Begander, and taught piano and recorder privately.
Ann began her duties as Church Pianist at FUMC Niceville in 1983. She accepted a classroom teaching position at Edge Elementary in 1987 and has continued there as Music Specialist since 1989.
After completing Orff Schulwerk Certification, Level I, Ann joined AOSA. She has regularly attended regional and national conventions of both ACDA and AGO. She is also a member of MENC/FMEA and has had five of her students selected to participate in the FMEA All State Elementary Chorus.
