Andrew Griffin

Creative Arts Minister

Andrew is our Creative Arts Minister. He leads Contemporary Worship which includes both the 9:42 and 11:02 Sunday worship services in our Community Life Center. He also oversees the audio-visual, drama, dance areas, as well as all worship bands, including the 9:40 Contemporary service in the Sanctuary.

Andrew came to us from Los Angeles, California, where he served 17 years in the same church as music minister. He has a B.A. in Classical Guitar Performance, studied Jazz Composition and did graduate work at UCLA in Film Scoring for Motion pictures and Television. He has performed professionally in many varied areas, including the Baltimore Symphony, recordings, professional theatre and social events. (He says his claim to fame was performing at the only wedding held in Dodger Stadium!) He grew up playing brass instruments in his parents' church (preacher's kid-survived to tell about it), plays keyboards, guitar, mandolin, banjo and WX5 wind controller. He says His parents' strong faith and musical skills pointed him in the direction God had for his life.

Young and old across the globe are experiencing a great awakening in worship. A great church has great worship and teaching. Effective churches will utilize every creative element possible to reach this generation for God. Our Contemporary services demonstrate that with strong worship times and practical, relevant teaching.

Andrew is married to the more talented Marielos (18 years) who provides peace and order in a frantic paced world. In fact, that's her texting him now...They have 3 children ages 16, 14 and 13.
