With the start of the new 9:42 Contemporary service just around the corner, I would like to try to answer some of the most frequent questions we have received.
Q. Who will be preaching?
A. Rev. Ausley and Rev. Kelly will preach the same amount. Others will fill in when one of them is out.
Q. Who will be doing the music?
A. Andrew will lead the worship at 9:42 along with the worship team.
Q. What will the music be like?
A. Presently the songs at 9:40 and 11:02 are almost identical. This will also be the case with the 9:42 service, but the volume at
9:42 will be lower than at 11:02.
Q. What will the service be like?
A. It will be like our 9:40 & 11:02 services which use the same worship order, dramas, video
clips, etc. But the enhanced video capabilities in the Community Life Center will allow added elements in the service
such as Image Magnification, multiple screens, and more controllable lighting.
Q. What about Sunday School for children and youth?
A. There will still be Sunday School at 9:40 and Children’s Church and “Kids Worship 2” at
11:00 for the children. The youth will have Sunday School options at both 9:40 & 11:00.
Q. Why are we starting another worship service?
A. The 9:40 service last Sunday (in the middle of the summer) was completely full. If we
are going to reach more people for Christ, we need more room for people at the 9:40 hour.
Q. How can I best help?
A. We need a large number of people who are presently attending our contemporary services (especially 9:40) to make a commitment to attend the 9:42 service.
This will assure its success and make room for more people at 9:40.
Q. What will happen with the 9:40 music and preaching?
A. Although Andrew will not be in the 9:40 service, the present worship team will continue to lead that service. Rev. Ausley
and Rev. Kelly will both preach the same amount in the 9:40 service.
Q. Will there be coffee/food at all services?
A. Yes there will, but there will be expanded food options at the 9:42 service (as well as
at 11:02). This will include flavored coffees, muffins, bagels, fruit and more.
